Film, Photo & Ai with Climate in Mind

FERN is a B Corp production company based in Copenhagen creating film, photo, and AI-driven work with positive social impact and minimal climate footprint. We built a single, coherent website and digital brand architecture that unites three practices in one place: Film, Photo, and AI & Digital Artist.

+ Context
FERN produces films and photos that aim for cultural impact with the lowest possible environmental cost. The studio educates crews and collaborators, equips them to reduce production-specific emissions, and advocates for change across the creative industry. Our scope covered site design, information architecture, and a digital identity that makes sustainability practical and legible.

+ Digital brand architecture
Three offerings, one platform. We consolidated Film, Photo, and AI & Digital Artist into a single site with a shared taxonomy, consistent UI patterns, and clear pathways for clients. The result is a compact ecosystem where you can browse directors, photographers, and AI artists without switching context or design languages.

+ Navigation built for producers
The site prioritises speed to talent and work. Hero reels where relevant, filters that make sense in the real world, profile pages that balance bio, credits, and selected projects. Contact remains one click away, with enquiry flows tuned for fast response.

+ System and scale
Components cover rosters, projects, insights, and resources. The CMS lets the team publish quickly, keep credits updated, and add new artists without breaking structure. Templates support social cut downs and newsletter snippets so stories travel beyond the site.

+ AI and craft, one language
AI work sits beside film and photo without feeling like a bolt-on. Shared grids, type ramps, and credit logic keep the roster cohesive while allowing medium-specific details. The design reads editorial, not experimental-for-its-own-sake.

+ Outcome
A unified digital home for FERN’s three practices, built for real production use. Fast to browse, clear to brief, and grounded in values that move from manifesto to workflow. Creativity as a catalyst for change, presented with clarity and built to scale.
